Technology is there for people. Not the other way round.
That sounds obvious. Then look at how most apps treat you, and you notice it isn’t.
Most apps want you to adapt to them.
They hand you points to collect. Streaks you mustn’t break. Reminders whose main message is that you let them down. In the end you are working for the app, not the app for you.
And when you stop, you feel bad. Not because you did anything wrong, but because that is exactly how it was built.
So that you have to do less, not more.
Every one of our apps takes over something that would otherwise cost you time and headspace. What comes out of it is yours. What the app has to do for that is our problem.
It calculates, you live
Macros, trends, interactions, probabilities. That is arithmetic, and arithmetic is what computers were built for. Not for teaching you a lesson.
It remembers what you forget
When you are running out, what worked last time, what has shifted over months. You shouldn’t have to keep records for something to become visible.
It gets along without you
We build nothing whose success depends on you opening it every day. If you don’t look for a week, that is not a relapse.
You’re good as you are. We only help you treat yourself that way.
That is not a consolation prize, it is the condition we build under. A feature that only works if you feel bad first does not get through here.
Five sentences that apply to every app under this roof.
No app of ours may want to occupy you
Success here means you spend less time in it and still get somewhere. Time on screen is not the number we watch.
No number that makes you smaller
We show you what has changed. We do not tell you whether that makes you a good person or a bad one.
Claimed is not proven
When we write that something works, we say where we know it from. And when there is a limitation, that is written down too.
Your data stays yours
It is not sold and not traded. What comes into being inside an app comes into being for you, not for a market in which you are the goods.
Nothing you cannot follow
When one of our apps suggests something, you can see why. A recommendation you can only take on faith is not one.
SlimUs, CoachUs, and whatever comes next.
Us means us. Not us the company, but you and the people who are going through the same thing. Nothing under this roof leaves you with the feeling that you are the only person not getting anywhere right now.
There is a fair bit on the drawing board. FeedUs, so that eating stops being a subject. TrainUs, for fitness between two meetings. And an app that feeds your cells rather than just your stomach.
We do like to overdo things. Just not with you.
If that sounds too good, just start with one app.
You don’t have to believe us. You can try it.
